The baroque grey pearl necklace I present to you today is a small gem of personality. Two strands of freshwater pearls with irregular shapes, in grey tones shading from light to dark, intertwine in a play of volume and lustre. Each pearl is unique, with its own veins and imperfections that tell its natural story.
The stringing is done by hand, with knots between each pearl – a technique that not only protects the pearls but gives the piece a soft movement and regular cadence. This type of work is typical of the finest jewellery tradition, and here it is executed in our workshop in Sciacca. The baroque pearls, with sizes ranging from 8 to 10 mm, are selected one by one to ensure a harmonious effect despite the irregularity. The clasp is in 925 sterling silver, adjustable, so it fits comfortably around the neck.
