Sciacca Coral and Baroque Pearl Two-Strand Necklace

This necklace of Sciacca coral and baroque pearls is a statement piece born from the artisanal passion of Patricia Oro Creations. Two intertwined strands of Mediterranean coral Corallium rubrum, harvested from the waters of the Mediterranean, unite with baroque pearls of irregular and spontaneous form.

The coral, fished from the Sciacca area, appears as rough, unpolished beads: each grain retains its natural texture, a sign of craftsmanship that does not seek to tame the material but rather to exalt its authenticity. Weighing approximately 50 grams and measuring 80 cm in length, this necklace is substantial yet lightweight, perfect when worn over a dark dress or a white shirt.

The baroque pearls, with their imperfect surfaces and creamy hues, converse with the deep red of the coral, creating a vibrant contrast. The irregularities are not flaws but the hallmark of handcrafting: Sciacca coral has been a symbol of Sicilian craftsmanship for centuries.
