This Sciacca coral necklace is a jewel that tells the story of the sea. Handmade in my workshop in Sciacca, Sicily, it unites the tradition of coral fishermen with master craftsmanship. The four strands of Mediterranean coral (Corallium rubrum) are knotted in a time-honoured technique that ensures durability and a soft touch. The medium-sized beads are selected one by one for colour and shape, interspersed with five rough-cut lapis lazuli stones of deep midnight blue.
The clasp is 925 silver, with spacers that enhance the beauty of the coral. Every detail is considered: the length is approximately 30 cm, the weight 85 grams, ideal for an elegant yet unobtrusive presence. The coral comes from the Mediterranean Sea, and as mentioned, it is Sciacca coral, a precious variety tied to the history of our island. The lapis is worked rough to preserve its natural energy.
